After a pretty lazy start to our morning, we opted for a trip to Downtown Boone today. We ate brunch at Melanie's Food Fantasy (a meal highlighted by surprising elements: mushroom gravy and tempeh sticks), followed by some shop browsing on King Street and a doughnut dessert at the Local Lion (yum!). We ended our day with a low-stress hot sandwich dinner on the balcony. Solid day of vacation. We had food. We had fun.
