New Adventures
Yesterday, Graham had a playdate with his pal Judah (and Judah's brother and sister) which prompted his first trip to Durham's Museum of Life and Science. Although it's best for toddlers and up (just ask our nieces and nephews), the Museum does have a fun infant section that Graham enjoyed. It's a wonderful place...one that will likely occupy much of our time in the not-so-distant future.

Tummy Time
For the past couple of months, Graham has been enjoying lots of "tummy time," an activity that's necessary for his development toward crawling. We can tell he's getting stronger each day, as we've seen him be able to tolerate more and more time on his tummy and hold up his head for longer periods of time. As I looked down at him today, I couldn't help but snap a photo. Cuteness!

A Balancing Act
In the past few days, Graham has shown signs that he wants to sit up on his own. He's definitely capable of sitting up by himself for a few seconds at a time, but he hasn't quite mastered the true "sitting up" thing. He has, however, developed a pretty good solution in the meantime. I like to call this position "the little tripod."
Graham Reacts to Vandy's Loss in the College World Series
Based on the looks of things, he took the loss pretty hard. I hope he's prepared for football season. : ) If new head coach James Franklin doesn't begin to turn things around, I'll just have to keep him away from the TV until basketball season. For those who haven't heard, the 'Dores are ranked in the preseason Top 10 for 2011-12. Woo hoo!

Roll Over Graham Taylor
With apologies to Chuck Berry and his 1950s hit song "Roll Over Beethoven," the Taylors are singing a different tune this evening after our baby boy rolled over for the first time.
Roll Over Graham Taylor !!!

Sweet Tooth
Well, not in the traditional sense of the word, but Graham has one sweet little tooth coming in! We were told it could be here anywhere from 4 - 7 months, and sure enough, it popped up in the last couple of weeks. Matt told me he felt something sharp, and a couple of days later I got a glimpse of a tiny tooth breaking through on the bottom of Graham's mouth. It's taken a few days to get a photo of it, but I finally succeeded this morning. Looks can be deceiving by the way...that sweet little thing can hurt!
Best Wake-up Call Ever
In the mornings, Matt and I are usually coaxed out of our sleep by Graham's sweet babbles. He typically entertains himself for a while to give us some snooze time. If we snooze too long, however, he'll let us know. : ) Our first look at Graham is the sweetest...he gives us a big smile to welcome us to the day. This shot is a grin about five minutes after he woke up, but it still gives you a glimpse into why our mornings get off to a good start.

Ceiling Fan Fascination
Graham has a certain affinity to ceiling fans. For a while now, we've noticed that they capture his attention. In the past couple of days, however, he's started to find them rather funny. We have no idea why, but we think it's pretty darn cute.

Father and Son
Matt and Graham were quite the pair today. I thoroughly enjoyed watching my hubby soak in his first Father's Day. Matt and I both feel very blessed to be parents.

Out Like a Light
During the past few weeks, our little man has done really well with sleep training. He's slowly learning how to get himself to sleep. Tonight, though, he didn't have to...he fell asleep during his evening meal.

Two Great Teams in the CWS
Today, my undergrad takes on my grad school in the College World Series. I love both Vanderbilt and UNC, so I won't be disappointed no matter who wins. But...there's no question who I'm rooting for to go all the way. Like Graham, I say "Go 'Dores!"

Finding His Feet
Graham has discovered his feet during the past couple of weeks, but he's just now able to get them all the way to his mouth. And thus the "everything goes in mouth" stage begins.

Lots of Love from Tennessee
Last week, we hosted my parents...better known to Graham as Nana and Papa. The Gregorys arrived in Durham on Monday evening after the 8-hour trek from Nashville. It was clear from the start how excited they were to spend the week with Graham (and their daughter and son-in-law, of course).
It was a great visit during which Graham was loved on every moment by his adoring Nana and Papa. It was wonderful for me also, as it prevented me from having to be at home alone during Matt's three-day work retreat at Wrightsville Beach AND it allowed me to finally have the elusive garage sale that I've been talking about for years (no exaggeration here...just ask Matt).
On Sunday, after several days of fun, it was time for Nana and Papa to head back to Tennessee. Graham delayed his nap time to see them off, which I know they appreciated. : ) It was a hard goodbye on both sides, but only because the visit was such a good one.

Open Mouth, Insert Foot
This afternoon, I was grabbing a snack before feeding Graham. As I sat finishing up, Graham let me know he was hungry using not-so-subtle methods. At least my foot was clean. : )

Handsome in a Hooded Towel
Graham's Tigger hooded towel made its debut after last night's bath. We didn't think it was possible for our cutie to get any cuter, but looks like we were wrong.

A Splashing Good Time
Graham recently graduated from the newborn hammock in his tub to the full-fledged infant tub. The transition seems to suit our little boy well. He sure does have fun in the bathtub now!
Tonight, I was able to capture some of his splashes on video while a visiting Nana gave Graham a bath. I love seeing our little boy have so much fun!
